Multidimensional Rasch Analysis of Gender Differences in Tes Intelegensi Kolektif Indonesia–Tinggi (TIKI-T)

The empirical evidence on gender differences in the g-factor or general intelligence and various cognitive abilities remains contradictory. Some studies have found that there are no intelligence, while others between genders verbal, spatial, numerical as measured by standardized tests. This study aims to examine presence of differential item functioning (DIF) tests measure numerical, spatial/nonverbal abilities, well level. multidimensional Rasch model was used identify DIF based four domains Tes Intelegensi Kolektif IndonesiaTinggi (TIKI-T) test. A total 1,443 undergraduate students were tested. results showed several unbiased items, some items clearly biased against males females. higher verbal subtests for female-male differences, male corresponded subtest performance. theoretical practical implications discussed.
